CERTIFIED FORENSIC FINANCIAL PLANNER™
Forensic Financial Planning is a branch of financial planning that not only requires a knowledge of financial planning and investment management principles, but are also trained to work on investigation and litigation teams to look into illegal or unethical activity and assist in the litigation process.

The secondary focus of a forensic financial planner is to review what other financial advisors and financial planners may have implemented for their clients and give an analysis to those clients of whether their plan holds up to a fiduciary standard (clients best interest).

The term forensic financial planning was first introduced by Jason A. Bottenfield, CFP (Dallas, TX) at a lunch seminar in 2007.
